I couldn't help sharing this funny story... This is why I LOVE teaching so much!!!!
Another teacher and I talked to a kiddo today (whom we share) about not eating during class. The kiddo generally likes to munch on candy and carrots throughout the day. So about an hour later, we were back together, praising the child for working so hard during math. As we're talking to him, he reaches into his pocket, pulls out a carrot and takes a big crunch.
Such an innocent little first grader. I looked around for hidden cameras, but nope, I wasn't being "punked."
All I could do was say, "Shove it in your mouth and get to computer class." It was just too funny.
